\u201cSuperman,\u201d DC Studios\u2019 first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who\u2019s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind. <\/p>\n

DC Studios heads Peter Safran and Gunn are producing the film, which Gunn directs from his own screenplay, based on characters from DC Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.<\/p>\n

The film stars David Corenswet (\u201cTwisters,\u201d \u201cHollywood\u201d) in the dual role of Superman\/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan (\u201cThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel\u201d) as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult (the \u201cX-Men\u201d movies, \u201cJuror #2\u201d) as Lex Luthor. The film also stars Edi Gathegi (\u201cFor All Mankind\u201d), Anthony Carrigan (\u201cBarry,\u201d \u201cGotham\u201d), Nathan Fillion (the \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d films, \u201cThe Suicide Squad\u201d), Isabela Merced (\u201cAlien Romulus\u201d), Skyler Gisondo (\u201cLicorice Pizza,\u201d \u201cBooksmart\u201d), Sara Sampaio (\u201cAt Midnight\u201d), Mar\u00eda Gabriela de Far\u00eda (\u201cThe Moodys\u201d), Wendell Pierce (\u201cSelma,\u201d \u201cTom Clancy\u2019s Jack Ryan\u201d), Alan Tudyk (\u201cAndor\u201d), Pruitt Taylor Vince (\u201cBird Box”), and Neva Howell (\u201cGreedy People\u201d).<\/p>\n

\u201cSuperman\u201d is executive produced by Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther. Behind the camera, Gunn is joined by frequent collaborators, including director of photography Henry Braham, production designer Beth Mickle, costume designer Judianna Makovsky, and composer John Murphy, along with editors Craig Alpert (\u201cDeadpool 2,\u201d \u201cBlue Beetle\u201d), Jason Ballantine (the \u201cIT\u201d films, \u201cThe Flash”), and William Hoy (\u201cThe Batman\u201d).<\/p>\n

\u201cSuperman\u201d will be in theaters and IMAX nationwide on July 9, 2025, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.<\/p>\n
