Grade 4 student Francis Deinmel Legaspi gave pride to the Philippines when he bagged the gold medal in the fourth Copernicus Olympiad Mathematics Global Round held in New York City. <\/p>\n

Raising the flag as a student at the Special Education Center for the Gifted in Subic, Francis outdid over 100 finalists from 22 countries across the globe in the global round competition.<\/p>\n

The Copernicus Olympiad is a globally renowned international competition platform for Grade 3 to Grade 12 students who want to compete in various Science competitions such as Mathematics, Physics, Natural Sciences, and Astronomy. <\/p>\n

This year, the Copernicus Olympiad Mathematics Global Round was held at Columbia University from July 9 to 13.<\/p>\n

Prior to the Copernicus Olympiad, Francis reigned in multiple international mathematics competitions, such as the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad and the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad.<\/p>\n
