<\/p>\nAfter his win at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship, the House congratulated Carlos Yulo and passed a House resolution in lieu of his recent achievement.<\/p>\n
On February 6, the Senate invited Carlos “Caloy” Yulo to personally congratulate the athlete for successfully bringing home two medals in four sports events in England in November 2022.<\/p>\n
Last year, Yulo gained bronze and silver medals, making him capture eighth place in the all-around finals and seventh place in the floor exercise during the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship.<\/p>\n
Some senators have extended their appreciation for Yulo and used the athlete as an example to encourage other Filipinos to continuously achieve their dreams.<\/p>\n

In line with this, the filing of the House resolution also became a way for the House to highlight the success of athletes after their hard work.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe story of Carlos Yulo is a success story worth emulating by our struggling and hopeful young athletes… as Caloy puts it: \u2018You can break down or break records. It\u2019s up to you,\u201d Senator Jinggoy Estrada said.<\/p>\n
Aside from the filed House resolution, the Senate also vowed their support for the next international competition of Yulo at the Paris Olympics in 2024.<\/p>\n
